My hometown looks nice from afar

I remember this view from earliest childhood. I recognized the repoussoir, even before I knew the word. It is always summer, nice and cool in the shade, but hot in the cornfields. Heerlen, small, modern and in between lots of green on walking distance. I don't remember coalmines...
